overview : The Racine Zoological Gardens is one of only 13 free admission accredited zoos left in the entire country. We are located on the shores of Lake Michigan on the north side of downtown. Covering 32 acres, the Zoo is home to over 250 animals representing 76 species. Here you will find lions, wolves, rhinos, orangutans, kangaroos and more, living in exhibit spaces designed to imitate natural surroundings.

hours (subject to change) : open daily, except Christmas Day. Summer hours, Memorial Day through Labor Day, are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (last admission at 7:30 p.m.); winter hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (last admission at 4:00 p.m.).
