overview : A group of Skaneateles farmers organized this company about 1899. Very successful at first, farmers eventually sent their produce to Syracuse. In 1919 it was in the hands of the Best Ice Cream Company, who continued to make butter as well as ice cream. In 1948 it was acquired by The Borden Company. It is now the home of the Skaneateles Historical Society and Museum.

hours (subject to change) : The Creamery is open during summer months from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The rest of the year hours are on Friday only.
