overview : Schoenbrunn Village was founded in 1772 as a Moravian mission to the Delaware Indians. The early inhabitants drew up Ohio’s first civil code and built its first schoolhouse. The precise and detailed records of the Moravians enabled the Ohio Historical Society to reconstruct the log-structure village in the 1920s.

collections : Reconstructed village includes seventeen log buildings, gardens, the original mission cemetery, and a museum and visitor center. The site also includes natural areas and picnic facilities.
