overview : History of Northampton County through the use of everyday objects, books, and other items in its collection. - The Mixsell House Museum occupies a home dating to the early 19th century and houses paintings, furniture, tools, silver and chinaware, dolls, needlework, weapons and uniforms, jewelry and Native American artifacts dating from pre-colonial times to the present. In addition to its permanent collections, the Museum mounts temporary exhibits throughout the year.
