overview : Founded by Algur H. Meadows in 1965, the Meadows Museum at Southern Methodist University houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of Spanish art outside Spain. The museum presents major works from the 10th through the 20th century, including masterpieces by Velazquez, Ribera, El Greco, Murillo, Goya, Miro and Picasso.

collections : Highlights of the collection include Renaissance altarpieces, monumental Baroque canvases, exquisite Rococo oil sketches, polychrome wood sculptures, Impressionist landscapes, Modernist abstractions and a comprehensive collection of the graphic works of Goya. - It also includes a select group of sculptures by such 20th-century masters as Rodin, Maillol, Moore, Lipchitz and David Smith.

hours (subject to change) : Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday 1-5 p.m. Closed Wednesdays and most holidays.
