overview : Includes a pioneer cabin that was taken apart log by log and reconstructed as the Maynard Pioneer Museum. Every item reflects the personal use of our forefathers, who lived in this area in the late 1800s and early 1900s. - the log cabin has been furnished in original setting, as much as possible, which lets you feel as they felt in that era. Pictures and history, such as newspaper clippings, documents, Randolph County Directory of 1910, and History of Randolph County. - In 1982, the adjoining annex was built to house other collectibles, which reflect our ancestors. Some general examples are relics of antique furniture, kitchen utensils, glassware, linens, historical photographs, farm tools and machinery, books, various documents, two locally handmade coffins dating back to the early 1900s, and a local doctor's paraphernalia.
