overview : The Lewis and Clark Trail museum is housed in a 1914 school building and displays a scale model of Fort Mandan. Fort Mandan was the winter quarters for the Corps. of the Discovery. Besides other Lewis and Clark exhibits, the museum has a large collection of historical artifacts dating back to North Dakota's homesteading days.
