overview : Joslyn Art Museum has served as a premier center for the visual arts since it opened in 1931. It is Nebraska's only art museum with an encyclopedic permanent collection. Also with Nebraska's largest art research library of over 32,000 volumes.
collections : Joslyn Art Museum features an encyclopedic collection from antiquity to the present. Special emphasis is 19th- & 20th-century European and American art including Albert Bierstadt, Karl Bodmer, W. A. Bouguereau, Mary Cassatt, Thomas Eakins, J.-L. Gªrçme, Claude Monet, Auguste Rodin, Grant Wood.
