overview : Hollywood Entertainment Museum celebrates Hollywood the place and the entertainment arts of film, television, radio, sound recording and new media. The 33,000 square foot museum features technologically advanced, interactive exhibits, memorabilia, special exhibitions, a six-minute multi-screen video presentation and a studio backlot tour. The experience culminates in a visit to the original sets of Star Trek and Cheers. Designed to educate and entertain, a variety of programs and tailor-made tours are available to groups and individual visitors.
collections : Don't miss the "Making of Elvis! - 50 Years of Promotion" exhibit. It will present Elvis as a truly American icon, whose films and music are alive and well today in large part due to the ongoing promotion of his image and persona. His cultural impact will be seen through this exhibit featuring Elvis promotional items including records, albums, buttons, key chains, photos, magazines, license plates, posters, original stills, film posters. Also, see the best work on television today! The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Hollywood Entertainment Museum bring you the "Designing TV: Emmy 2004 Best Costumes and Art Direction" exhibit. This special exhibit will showcase the work of this yearÂ’s 56th Annual Primetime Emmy nominees. Featured are spectacular designs from television programs nominated for Outstanding Costumes, as well as the lush conceptual work of those artists nominated for Outstanding Art Direction.
