overview : Completed in 1902, Whitehall, Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, was hailed as "more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world." Today, Whitehall, a National Historic Landmark, is open as the Flagler Museum. The Museum features guided tours, Flagler's private railcar, changing exhibits, special programs, museum store, and seasonal café.
collections : The Beaux-Arts style mansion, completed in 1902, features original furnishings and artwork in its period rooms. Special exhibits highlight the history of the Flaglers and the Gilded Age. Visitors can also tour the Flaglers' private railcar on the site. The Flagler Museum offers an annual series of special programs, including lectures, concerts, and holiday events.
