overview : The Fick Fossil and History Museum has many displays including fossils, over 1500 photos showing 90 years of history, antiques, and artifacts found at Fort Monument. Also included are pressed wild flowers and a large collection of mineral and rocks plus rotating display year round.

collections : Folk art and fossils donated by Earnest and Vi Fick in 1972. A real sod house inside the museum. Over 11,000 shark teeth and countless fossils found in the Monument Rocks (Kansas Pyramids) area of Scott, Gove, Lane and Logan counties. A 15 foot long prehistoric fish, Xiphactinus Audax, found locally by renowned paleontologist George F. Sternberg. The skull of a Mosasaur, Tylosaurus proriger, the oldest ever documented, was found in Horse Thief Canyon of Gove County. Murals, horse-drawn wagon, early cattlemen's brands, depression glass, a player piano. A replica of Oakley's 1886 Union Pacific depot, destroyed by fire in 1940. Over 1500 historical photos of pioneers, disasters, early businesses, schools, communities and activities.
