overview : The Medal of Honor Museum of Military History at Chattanooga, Tennessee, is currently in transition. While most artifacts are currently in storage, you are invited to visit our small exhibit at Northgate Mall on Highway 153 in Hixson.
collections : During the next few months, most Medal of Honor Museum artifacts are being inventoried and restored. The Northgate Mall exhibit features personal items from local Medal of Honor recipients Desmond Doss, Charles Coolidge and Paul Huff as well as pictures and certificates of other recipients. You may choose to view an eight-minute video which explains the Medal of Honor and features highlights of several noted recipients such as Eddie Rickenbacker and Audie Murphy. Along with artwork depicting actual events, several military uniforms are on display recalling eras from World War I through present day.
hours (subject to change) : Exhibit Hours: Mon - Thu, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sat - Sun 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
