overview : Established in 1917, the Clark County Historical Society had searched for a museum location since 1928, and the opportunity to occupy the former library was warmly accepted. After a year of preparation and renovation of the space, the community finally had a museum. Honoring the request of L.M. Hidden, the original land donor, a county historical research library with over 3,000 books became part of the museum.
