overview : The Bedford Historical Society is a non-profit educational institution. In addition to operating and maintaining these historic lands and buildings, we open our two museums to the public from May to November with the help of our devoted volunteers. The Society sponsors community lectures and educational tours as well as a spring clean-up day, an Antique Show in October and an Art Show that promotes local artists in early December. We work to preserve and collect our local historic treasures and to provide educational information to those studying local history.
