overview : As an independent, non-profit and tax-exempt membership organization, the Society has operated its public facilities in Somers Point for 50 years supported solely by member dues and gifts. The Society's first headquarters and museum was located in the Somers Mansion from the early 1940's until 1970 when the current building on Shore Road was completed.
collections : Household items and decorative arts, fine arts, weaponry, maritime artifacts, and toys. The library's card catalog offers over 85,000 references to books, newspapers, family bibles, photos, maps, and historical and genealogical documents.
hours (subject to change) : Wednesday thru Saturday - 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. First Thursday of Month - 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
