overview : The Arts Consortium of Cincinnati was founded in 1972 to 'celebrate, advance and preserve African and African-American culture and achievement through art, history and education.' - Programming at the multi-disciplinary community arts center includes classes in visual and performing arts, gallery exhibitions, performing arts productions, and a permanent exhibit on the history of black Cincinnati. The Arts Consortium has two locations: the main facility at 1515 Linn Street in the West End and the African American Museum at Union Terminal.
