Its membership is made up of former Historical and Boating groups plus other citizens interested in the area. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the area. collections : Gar Wood and Chris Craft boat companies were started here. Gar Wood set the speed record in the North Channel of the St Clair River here.
