overview : Museum is general history and heritage, located adjacent to birthplace of Nobel Prize winning novelist William Faulkner. Permanent interpretive timeline exhibit of the county and North Mississippi Hill Country with emphasis on cretaceous through Ice Age fossils, Ingomar Mounds - a Woodland site, the culture of hunting and fishing, Chickasaw Indians, DeSoto Expedition, William Faulkner, Railroads, World War II, The Furniture Industry. One gallery devoted to traveling exhibits. Outdoor exhibit area features Faulkner Literary Garden, vintage doctor's office, rural agricultural exhibit and train caboose.
