overview : The New Albany Plain Township Historical Society was founded in 1975 to bring together people interested in local history and to help members of the community achieve an understanding of this history through the collection and preservation of artifacts, documents, and oral accounts. - In 1994, the Society acquired the 1881 Kern-Harrington House, which in 1995 received certification as a museum from the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums.
