overview : The Star Historical Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and displaying items that have been donated or loaned by past and present residents, depicting the history of Star, Mills County, Texas. The museum currently houses photos, collections, and family archives of the first settlers of this small town. Built just prior to World War II, this building has housed numerous businesses and organizations, such as, a gas station, power plant, Masonic Lodge, and fire station.
