overview : The Museum of Funeral Customs provides the public with a deeper understanding of the history of American funeral and mourning customs, funerary art and practice; fosters an appreciation of history within the funeral profession; and encourages further study on the subject.
collections : Collections: A newly created exhibit, dedicated to expanding the public's knowledge of the funeral of President Abraham Lincoln, has been added to the museum. The exhibit includes a replica of Lincoln's coffin which is covered in black broadcloth and adorned with silver studs and white fringe and a model of the train and rail car that carried Lincoln from Washington to Springfield, Illinois.
hours (subject to change) : Open Tuesday through Saturday 10 -4pm Sunday 1-4pm Closed Mondays.
