overview : The only museum in Canada exclusively devoted to the collection, exhibition and documentation of textiles from around the world. - Incorporated in 1975, The Textile Museum of Canada first presented its collection in a very modest room in Toronto's Mirvish Village. In 1989, we celebrated the opening of our spacious new quarters at 55 Centre Avenue, located near the St. Patrick subway station.

collections : The Museum has gained international recognition for its collection, now numbering over 10,000 items, which includes fabrics, carpets, quilts, garments, ceremonial objects and other artifacts from around the world.
