overview : The Indian River Life-Saving Station, built in 1876 by the United States Life-Saving Service has been beautifully restored to her turn of the century appearance. The station pays tribute to the heroism of the surfmen who helped save countless lives along the coast of Delaware. The Indian River Life-Saving Station is a project of the Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation.
