overview : The New Hartford Historical Society is dedicated to preserving New Hartford's history, and preserving the artifacts related to New Hartford. - The Society also promotes interest and education in New Hartford's history. The Society holds lectures, meetings and other gatherings to discuss and educate residents about our Town. - We work with historians (amatur and professional) to promote research on a wide variety of history. In addition, the Society goes into the New Hartford Schools to help make the history of our town come alive for the students
