A visit to this 20,000 sq. foot museum will take visitors back 100 years, to a time when Buffalo was a booming industrial center. On the opening day of the 1901 Pan-Am Exposition, inventor George Pierce drove his Pierce Motorette on to the grounds of the exposition where thousands of people saw it and became interested in this new mode of transportation. Two year's later Pierce introduced the Pierce-Arrow, the luxury car that would make him famous. collections : This museum has four or five Pierce-Arrows on display at all time, along with other classic cars such as the Buffalo-made Thomas Flyer. Many of the vehicles on display are from the collection of museum founder, James T. Sandoro; other vehicles are on loan from various collectors from across the country.
