overview : Since its opening in early 1997, the Coral Springs Museum of Art has has focused on displaying innovative and ethnically diverse Florida artists and providing eclectic and challenging classes for both children and adults. In addition, we've hosted three blockbuster exhibitions with well-known aftists such as Alexandra Nichita, Wolf Kahn, Duane Hansen, Jose Bedia, and David Chihuly. We have also displayed art on loan from other area museums, such as the Boca Raton Museum of Art and the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art. The Museum has hosted over 135,000 visitors and students since opening. We have exhibited the work of almost 200 artists in our galleries and the work of approximately 4,800 artists in our lobby. We have raised ,000 through the hard work of the Friends of the Museum. Sixty-five volunteers supplement our staff of one full-time director and three part-time personnel. Classes in drawing, collage, painting and mixed media for adults and children are offered in our 13,500 square foot space.
