collections : Marines are Professional Soldiers and weapons are the tools of their trade. From the time they enter boot camp they are reminded that first and foremost, all Marines are riflemen. The USMC Museum maintains collections of weapons reflecting this tradition. Muskets, swords, war trophies, experimental weapons as well as more modern examples of battlefield hardware are preserved by the Museum's professional staff.
