overview : His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Federal Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has an overwhelming concern for science and culture and for establishing suitable buildings to house these important subjects. This is reflected by His Highness’s directive to set up a new building for the Sharjah Archaeology Museum to house and preserve the rich heritage of the past and provide and educational venue for children. It is also and additional culture centre for Sharjah, the already rich “Cultural Capital of the Arab World”. His Highness also gave directions that archaeology exhibits be displayed in creative style, avoiding monotony and inactivity, and in a manner which combines with the traditional way of displaying with that of modern science and technology. Therefore the new Sharjah Archaeology Museum is unique in style.
