The Regional Museums Task Force report Renaissance in the Regions is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to modernise, revitalise and transform them and to fully harness their potential for learning, for social inclusion, for creativity, and for economic and social regeneration. - The website, Resource was launched in April 2000 as the strategic body working with and for museums, archives and libraries, tapping the potential for collaboration between them. The new organisation replaces the Museums and Galleries Commission (MGC) and the Library and Information Commission (LIC), and now includes archives within its portfolio.
