overview : As a non-collecting organization, the Frist Center is dedicated to presenting a rich and diversified survey of art from world-class public and private collections. Our curatorial staff collaborates with renowned guest curators to create exhibitions on a broad range of themes that explore fascinating connections across various cultures and time periods. Both docent-led tours and audio guides are available to assist your enjoyment of the arts. The Frist Center also offers many other ways to interact with the art including hands-on opportunities, learning centers, behind-the-scenes views, community outreach, educational programs, and special events. With ever-changing treasures from around the world, each visit provides new opportunities for discovery. It's all more engaging, more entertaining and more enlightening than you ever imagined an art center could be.
