overview : The Maritime Industry Museum is located on the grounds of SUNY Maritime College inside historic Fort Schuyler. The museum features an in-depth look at the maritime industry, starting with the Phoenicians and continuing up to the present day. The museum features hundreds of handcrafted models, marine artwork, and photographs. Exhibits of particular interest focus on the SS United States, the Morro Castle, the ships of the Cunard Line, and an exact model of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Additionally, the museum emphasizes the port of New York and its contributions to the maritime industry.
