overview : Often called the Grandma Moses of stitchery, Ethel Wright Mohamed (b. 1906 d. 1992) has painted with beautiful and intricate stitches, the sories of her family, on fabric and has given us a history of the Mississippi Delta and past a past way of life. The Museum, is the former home of the artist.

collections : Visitors are guided through the exhibit by the Curator, Carol Ivy a daughter of Ethel Wright Mohamed. Her guide through the museum reveals room after room filled with pieces which the artist has done from her own sketches of family memories or imagined events.
