overview : Through exhibits, ranger-led programs and walks, movies, children's camps, and workshops, visitors get a personal sense of President Thomas Jefferson's vision of expanding America westward. Outdoors trails and massive glass windows in the center atop bluffs provide views of the Missouri River and the uppermost of five waterfalls. They inspire awe and awaken curiosity toward the challenges faced by the 1804-1806 expedition as they portaged the great falls of the Missouri River.

hours (subject to change) : Memorial Weekend-September 30: Daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. October 1 - Memorial Weekend: Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ; and Sundays 12-5 p.m.
